Why won't my lender give me a loan modification?

They won't even listen to me?

If you are a homeowner who has ever tried calling your mortgage services department to request a loan modification than this article may hit clos to home.

Millions of homeowners are calling their lender and requesting loan modification assistance every day but to no avail. The American Homeowner is in desperate need of mortgage assistance but is unable to do anything because they can not penetrate the lenders front line which is guarded by the all mighty telemarketers known as this so called customer service department.

But before you get to mad at your lender you should know why they seem so cranky and unwilling to work with homeowners. Simply put they are over-whelmed with phone calls they have never had to do or prepare for anything such as this.

The current foreclosure crisis is proving to much. They are trying to work with homeowners as best as possible but they are to busy for all the calls.

So what will most likely happen if you are a Homeowner who is in foreclosure or are currently experiencing some sort official hardship and are in need of mortgage assistance and you do as you are told by HOPE Now and call your lender you can count on being given the stiff arm at best. To add insult to injury the customer service folk are mad as hell. This is understandable as they are cursed at and yelled at every day by stressed out Homeowners and are strapped to the phones and bolted in for 8 hours.

So What Can You Do to Get Modified?

The best thing to do if you need a mortgage modification is to first check out the Obama mortgage assistance plan particularly the HAMP - Home Affordable Modification Plan. I suggest you check the program details to determine if you qualify for HAMP, the Obama loan modification program.

This plan has helped over a million homeowners obtain the oppurtunity to modify their loan and reduce their monthly mortgage payment by 400 + dollars!!!

If you are not able to go that route then you can still get one straight from your lender.
