President Obama and his Administration have created a foreclosure prevention program known as the Making Home Affordable Plan. This HUB wil concentrate on the Mortgage Refinance side of the Making Home Affordable Plan.
Home Affordable Mortgage Refinance
The Home Affordable Mortgage Refinance Program is available to Homeowners who are in need of mortgage assistance. This means that only those Homeowners who have fell victim to some sort of financial hardship are able to obtain a mortgage refinance through the Make Home Affordable plan.
List of requirements for a Mortgage Refinance through the Make Home Affordable Mortgage Refinance Program:
- Freddie and Fannie Mortgages Only
- Must have Financial Hardship
- May not be late for more then 29 days
- Home Mortgage must be less then $730,000.00
- Home Mortgage Origination prior to 2009
- Must not be able to afford current mortgage payment for long term
- 1-4 unit home

Great hub! This program ends in December 2012 and there's still billions of dollars in assistance money that isn't being used, that so many homeowners probably don't even know about! I hope more people find out about this program before time is up.
